Bill Maher on France

Bill Maher blasts conservatives who dismiss everything French as if it's somehow now "the ultimate argument winner" (see: "Kerry looks French" or Bill O'Reilly's boycott), then goes off on how conservative social issues tarnish the political process.I don't want any bitching on this page, against anyone, thanks.

@Gargantua606 I have lived in America since 2006, but I also lived here from 1993 to 1998

@aaasssfffdddiii And for how long have you been living in the US?

@pfffff33 You make no sense whatsoever, but the US has the best Health Care in the world... FACT

@nokiddingable I'm sorry, I just pick a random year when I am making a profile on youtube. Everything I have said is true... You just dont like the facts...

@Gargantua606 Yes, 8 of the 10 most popular worldwide drugs were made in America none are from france. Of the top 12 pharmeucitical companies, 7 are in America, only one is in france.... 74 of the top 100 biotech companies are in America, 0 are in france, not a single one. Furthermore, the male Cancer survival rate is 68% in America, it is only 47% in Western Europe (only counting the developed countries). The medical technology availability is also much higher in America. America is just better

@Gargantua606 I was born in Canada and lived there until 1993, when I was 27. There system was even worse than France, they had longer lines, less innovation, and much lower quality. It wasn't that bad when they originally passed Single Payer for Canada in 1984, but by 1990 it was unlivable. Universal Health Care passed in France the same year I got there, 2000. It was ok the first couple years but it was also terrible at the end. The US has been good the whole time, i have lived there.

@aaasssfffdddiii Just a question though since it seems you consider your knowledge of HC comes from you being very well acquainted with that of other countries, have you lived in any other countries than the US and/or France and for how long?
pfffff33 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@nokiddingable as well as he say that he is a N1 !!!
Gargantua606 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@aaasssfffdddiii You say the US ranks number one in HC, but are hapless to provide any proof to substantiate that. The last comparative ranking done by the WHO places the us at 37 and France at 1. Even then more recent data still puts France far higher than the US in life expectancy , higher in bumber of medical personel per capita, far lower in infant death, far lower in money spent per capita on health.Spouting "facts" out of your ass doesnt amount to them being "arguments" in any form.
